Gingerbread Cookies

Prep time: 4 hours
Cook time: 5-6 min per batch
Ingredients
5 cups flour
1 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons ground sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cloves
1 cup butter
1 egg
1 cup molasses
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
Mise en place
1 hr ahead bring butter to room temp
Directions
In one bowl combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, cloves, and salt
In the mixer beat butter for 30 seconds
Add sugar to butter and beat till fluffy
Add egg, molasses, and vinegar. Beat
Add dry ingredients to wet
Cover and chill for 3 hours
Preheat oven at 375 degrees
Work with 1/3 of dough at a time. Roll about 1/8 inch tick, cut with cookie cutters and place on cookie sheet.
Bake for 5-6 minutes each
Cool and decorate!
